TLV Biblical Art Coffee Table Book

$50.00

Since the publication of the Tree of Life Version – New Covenant in 2012, Michael’s stunning artistic interpretations of Scripture have enthralled thousands of readers. Now, those readers can have their own edition of the eighty-five released Washer illustrations, plus three never-before-seen pieces, in the form of an official coffee-table book: The Tree of Life Biblical Art Collection!

This large book, measuring 11×14 inches, is luxurious in both look and feel. Heavy, glossy paper provides an excellent backdrop for Michael’s pieces – each of them specially varnished and printed in rich black and white tones. Each illustration is accompanied by its corresponding verse, as well as an explanatory paragraph on the piece, written by Washer himself and the Chief Theological Officer of the Messianic Jewish Family Bible Society, Dr. Jeffrey Seif. Additionally, each page has a quote from Daniah Greenberg, sharing the joy that each piece has brought her throughout the course of the development of the Tree of Life Version. With a sewn binding and cloth cover, this book will last for generations. Additionally, the dust jacket features a brand new rendering of the Tree of Life from the Garden of Eden by Michael Washer – a piece previously unreleased.

With a special note from both Daniah Greenberg and an introduction by Michael Washer, readers will be able to delve into the history of Biblical art and begin to understand its importance our collective worldview. Moreover, a conclusionary essay by Dr. Jeffrey Seif encourages viewers to embrace more art as a part of their faith walk. All-together, this publication would make an excellent addition to any living room, office, or library. Moreover, each book comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

One of the goals of the Messianic Jewish Family Bible Society in commissioning these pieces was to make a Jewish perspective available to a new generation of Jewish believers in Yeshua, so that the Jewishness of their Messiah can be understood.

As Washer states in his introduction, “Yeshua, Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, wasn’t depicted as a Jew by those who were the visual story tellers of their generations, the pre-Renaissance, Renaissance, and Baroque artists. What happened, I wondered? Where was the Jewishness of the Jewish Messiah?”

This art collection attempts to answer those questions. By presenting Israel’s Family Diary in visual form, with Jewish context, Jewish imagery, and Jewish culture, The Tree of Life Biblical Art Collection is a wonderful resource for anyone looking to reimagine the Bible stories of their childhood. Restoring the Jewish visuals to classic Bible art has been a long-time burden of Michael Washer’s heart, which can be read about in depth in this new book. In each picture, well-known stories are told in both an intellectual and emotional way, invoking interest from people of all ages and backgrounds. Looking through this book can be a fun and inspiring activity for the entire family. With depth of shadow and detail, everyone will be drawn to something different in each picture, hopefully sparking discussion about the things of God. This collection seeks to fulfill the same mandate as the Tree of Life Version – to gather families around the Word of God again, offering a distinctive Hebraic lens to which to view the Biblical text.

Throughout the years of seeing these pieces trickle out into the public eye, many have asked how they can get their hands on them. Now, for the first time, this entire collection of Biblical illustration is available in one complete printing! Not only will this fulfill a demand in the Messianic community to see the Jewishness of Yeshua restored in art, but it has been a dream come true for the entire team at the TLV Bible Society.
